HALL RENTAL
The American Legion is a
nice place to hold your next reception, reunion or function.
The hall has a kitchen (as
an added charge) and both Men’s and Women’s easy access restrooms (separate
from the clubroom). The issue of
smoking or no-smoking is left up to the discretion of the renter. We ourselves adhere to the standard rule of no
smoking during the meal. The hall easily
seats 100 people and can be arranged to suit.
There is a separate entrance so that you will not have to travel through
the clubroom.
It is available except for
scheduled Legion events and our Saturday night dance. You may use an outside caterer or prepare the
food yourself or contract with the entertainment Committee Chairman for the
Post to prepare. We can provide a waitress(s)
and/or set up a bar in the ballroom. You
will not be allowed to bring any beverages on site.
If we are to prepare a meal
we will have to have at least 10 days advance notice to insure that proper
supplies and foodstuffs are on hand.

Application for
rental must be made through the club manager or 2nd Vice Commander. The member or customer will contact the
Legion for the services desired and accept responsibility for payment. Rates and charges will be set by the 2nd Vice
Commander. Two weeks notice is required
if the Post is to provide the meal.

The
following rules and regulations that must be followed.
1
No
illegal drugs are allowed on the premises.
2
Firearms
are prohibited.
3
American
Legion Post 17 is not responsible for personal injury.
4
American
Legion is not responsible for damage to vehicles on the parking lot.
5
Music
with foul language will not be allowed.
The level of music played must be moderate in volume, so as not to
disturb patrons of the clubroom.

Any
damage to the chairs, tables, fixtures, walls, and musical instruments around
the stage will be the responsibility of the renter to repair or replace within
ten (10) day period. Deposit will not be
returned until arrangements are made.

Any
damage to the kitchen regarding the stove, oven, refrigerator, ice machine,
walls, utensils or other Legion property will be the responsibility of the
renter to repair or replace within ten (10) day period.

The
floor in the rental hall will be dry mopped after the event.

When
the kitchen is used, the floor will be wet mopped after the event.

When
the event is over and cleanup completed an inspection will be conducted by an
officer of the American Legion Post 17 for approval, prior to returning the
deposit.

If
the deposit is to be returned it will be in a check form mailed within (2)
days.

The
event can be stopped at any time by an Officer of the American Legion Post 17
for an infraction of the rules or for improper conduct..
